Cullen, Aleah
Aleah Cullen is an emerging Brisbane-based Artist. Aleah was awarded a Highly Commended prize during the 2001 Minister Arts Awards, obtained a Certificate III in Arts in 2001, and studied at the Queensland College of Arts during 2002 and 2003, before completing a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from QUT in 2006. Over the last several years Aleah has travelled internationally and lived in rural Australia, experiences from which she draws inspiration for her work. The conceptual foundation for the “Organic” Series was developed through the analysis of the fluid parameters of life and the serenity of the passage of time. Each piece began from a center point and grew on its own accord, spilling across the page with passive determination.
