Zanetti, Anne - Marie
Anne Marie was 'discovered' at the Nundah Festival Art show where she was exhibiting her beautiful works. Painting in oils has given Anne Marie the range to work her paintings into a blend of photo-realism still life with a light touch of impressionism. Always attractive, these works will command your attention and would be a great addition to any home.
Anne Marie is committed to her arts practice, she is certainly going to be an artist we will remember. Make sure you're not the one that says that you should have bought while the work was cheap.
Artist Statement
I am so grateful to be able to live as an artist every day. Painting helps me to access my contemplative space, where I feel highly alert and yet so peaceful and content. It’s a place I like to spend a lot of time.
I am primarily a self-taught artist. I have been expressing myself through painting for about 7 years. After experimenting with most mediums including pastels, watercolours and acrylics, oils are definitely my preference. Oils have an amazing blending ability, greatly increasing my enjoyment of the painting experience.
I love to express the beauty I see in the world, even in what we sometimes see as insignificant and ordinary. The affect of light, particularly sunlight, on all elements of a composition fascinates me. I am inspired by colour, human form, objects from my everyday surroundings, challenging ideas, my relationships and life in general.
‘Realism’ and portraiture are, at present, a major focus of my work. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the essence and detail of a subject at a single moment in time.
