Description
47 celebrates John Grimsdale’s age, no mystery really – he’s just happy to have made it this far.
John has a vast experience of the visual arts, currently working as an art teacher he has a Bachelor of Fine Arts after graduating from the Queensland College of Art.
As well as relishing painting portraits, John has a fascination with the human form and loves to draw and paint the body using live models and/or photographs as his resource.
John feels his best works are those pieces that capture a part of the story of the sitter ‘47’ takes you there.
