‘HOUSEYARD’ is 56 x 36cm wide, is a watercolour on 640gsm paper ready to be framed.
‘HOUSEYARD’ came to life after a visit to a property out west of Wyandra in western Queensland, free to explore the property I found the remains of an old home and had to capture what I felt.
House yards were a preserve of land around a dwelling to keep stock and rabbits out. This old yard still had an Agapanthus growing at the foot of the old clothes line, I can only imagine the daydreams that were dreamt there while hanging clothes to dry.
