A captured moment crossing the story bridge with the morning sun throwing long shadows, how great is Brisbane! There is always a great sense of expectation when you approach the city using the story bridge, not many cities offer this wonderful view of their central business area.
I had so much fun creating this piece, I think my excitement shows in the happy colour palette. I saw that shadow play on the steel structure and wanted to recreate the sense of permanence and strength using the light to show all its form.
Painted using multiple transparent layers make this work glow, you can feel that it’s going to be a warm sunny day. This would sit happily on any wall, it is a great reminder of our sunshine and clean air, what a place to live!
