‘Wave’ evolved over many many months

I’m so happy with it now, it just glows.

Sitting on the western beach at Moreton Island there are always soothing waves hissing and boiling as they break on the shoreline.

I remembered seeing a bottle in the foam I felt like it held some romantic mystery

I always wanted to capture that feeling.

Creating this piece was an education, we’ve all seen waves painted, they look simple, right?

Well the answer is ‘no’ they are quite complicated if you want to catch the feel of being there. This painting will have you noticing different things in it for a long time, enjoy!
