Bob was my father-in-law and I painted this portrait of him for my wife after he passed way in 2013. Born in Malta, he migrated to Australia as a young man in the 1950s. He met and married a Maltese girl in Australia and together they raised a family. He is one of the many migrants who worked hard to make a better life for himself in Australia and in the process, made Australia a much richer nation.
